Day 2
Dermot set off for Northam bright and early while I went for a swim in a 50 m pool which was just great! Cooler today and a strong wind which kept changing direction! Not always good. Endless straight roads with little to see but wheat fields. WA’s famous wheat belt. We met up for a snack and coffee at McDonalds in Northam then on to Meckering where there was a big earthquake in 1968 and the town was totally demolished. They never bothered rebuilding it!!!
We carried on to a town called Cunderdin where we spent the night in a motel which was part of the pub.

We went into the pub as the cyclist had a need to quench his thirst and three pints later we discovered there was a happy hour but it only was for half pints!!!
